C is for “Curb Your Dog,” and that’s good enough for me. The lyrics are from two poems from Langston Hughes 1951 collection called “Montage of a Dream Deferred”: “Warning: Augmented” and “Motto.” The music is from The Viper, treading in the shallower waters of the Johnny Mercer or Jule Styne American Songbook style with a lot of transition chords that are fun to learn.
