Written when the Viper was not yet the Viper, but a mere 16-year-old high school student completing an alternative assignment for Spanish class in 1984. Lo mejor!
No known recordings from 1984 exist, so this one from 2022 will have to suffice. (By the by, I thank fellow Libertyville High School Spanish-class student Peter Boone for the (then) improvised “lo mejor” interjection. I’ve never forgotten the debt I owe him for this pitch-perfect addition to the song.)
